EXECUTIVE MEETING
The Executive met at Pontefract and District Golf Club on 17 May. Amongst the agenda items were points raised at the Juniors meeting which was held in April. The Executive debated these items and resolved the following:
1 Caddies will not be allowed in Junior events.
2 The Junior League matches will continue to be played on Tuesdays
3 Following recommendations from the 2016 CONGU changes, handicap limits for the Junior Team Championship and Junior Championship will be 28 for boys and 36 for girls. These limits will also apply to the Junior League from 2017 onwards.
4 Clubs may enter up to 2 teams in the Junior Team Championship.
5 Recognising that some Clubs are struggling to fulfill Junior fixtures, Juniors who hold a Club Handicap may represent their Club in Junior matches. However, they must comply with the handicap limits in force for the competitions in which they are playing.
