Xmas Alliance

Thanks to the generosity of Leeds Union clubs and members who attended the Xmas Alliance at Scarcroft on the 9th December we raised £2,872 for the Leeds Childrens Charity.

Despite grave concerns about the weather and prospects of the competition being cancelled beforehand the Xmas Alliance Shotgun Team competition went ahead at Scarcroft as we were blessed with a break in the recent wet conditions which has closed a number of courses.

The Scarcroft greenkeeping staff did a great job in producing 18 holes fit for play considering the recent weather and the winning team scored 87 points to to win by 3 points. The Competitors enjoyed an excellent Xmas Dinner followed by a presentation of Raffle Prizes and an Auction of ''4 Ball Courtesy Round Vouchers'' donated by member clubs.
