Description
The Competition is a Scratch Stroke Play event over 36 holes.

Entries and Fees
Entry shall be open to Professionals, Assistant Professionals, and Amateur golfers in possession of a handicap not exceeding 8 strokes. In the event of entries exceeding 72 there shall be a ballot from the highest handicap entrants.

Winner
The Winner shall be the player who records the lowest aggregate score over 36 holes. The Winner of the Championship shall hold the Swaine Trophy and the leading Amateur the Leslie H. Bakes Salver for one year. Vouchers shall be presented to the leading Amateurs and cash to the leading Professionals.

Ties
In the event of a tie for the Championship, a further 3 holes of stroke play shall be played. If the scores are still tied, play shall continue until a hole be won.
