LEEDS & DISTRICT UNION of GOLF CLUBS
This competition is a Nett Stroke Play event over 18 holes. All current full playing members of a Leeds Union Club with a WHS Handicap Index are eligible to enter this competition. The WHS Handicap Index limit will be 24.0.
The Handicap allowance will be 95%.
Prize vouchers will be awarded as agreed by the Executive Committee.
The Union reserves the right to amend a player's tee time (e.g. if players are from the same club) and ballot out entries in the event of competitions being oversubscribed.
Wherever possible online entry and fee payment via the website should be utilised.
The draw will be circulated to all member clubs.
The competition shall be limited to 72 entries. In the event of an entry in excess of 72, there shall be a ballot of the higher handicap entrants.
All ties shall be decided on the basis of Regulation 7.
The Winner of the Nett Stroke Play Championship shall be the player returning the lowest nett score and shall receive the John Robshaw Trophy and a prize. There shall be a prize for the runner-up and such other prizes as may be decided by the Executive Committee.
There will be a Handicap Index limit of 24.0 on the day for the Championship and 28.0 for Group prizes. In the event of entries exceeding the starting times available, there shall be a ballot from the highest handicap entrants in each Group.
Prizes will also be awarded at the discretion of the Executive Committee in each of the following groups (nett scores):
Group A —H/Cap 0-9 inclusive
Group B —H/Cap 10-18 inclusive
Group C —H/Cap 19-28 inclusive
Subject to a minimum of 10 entries per group.
