Junior Matchplay Championship

Coookridge Hall Juniors Harry Hunter-Mapp, Jeehvan Singh and Charlie Smith secured their places in the semi finals of the Leeds Junior Matchplay Championship at a hot and sunny Horsforth. James Trant (Moortown) completes the semi final line up.

Strokeplay champion Harry defeated Isaac Smith (Oulton Hall) in the round of 16 and  young Oliver Cage (Moortown) in the quarter finals.

Young Alfie Storer (Cookridge Hall) put up a great show against James Trant in the round of 16 before losing at the first extra hole.  James subsequently won his quarter final against Harley Scott-Ellis (Wike Ridge).

In the bottom half of the seeded draw Jeehvan defeated Amaan Iqbaal (Wike Ridge)  and then Woolley Park's George Glover.

Young Charlie Smith beat the in form Jake Wallis and then former Order of Merit winner Cameron Owen (Oulton Hall).

The semi finals (8:15 tee) and final (13:00 tee) take place on Wednesday at Horsforth.
