Moortown Veterans win at Waterton Park.

Waterton Park was in excellent condition on a perfect golfing day with summer conditions as play got underway at 7:30 am. Competition was fierce with an early score of 89 points being posted by the first Temple Newsam team to finish at 12:30.

However the Low Laithes team of Roy Kelly,John Robinson, Peter Diggins and Roy Pickup posted 94 points shortly after and this was the leading score untill the Moortown veterans led by Paul Fullerton, Steve Mardon, David Barnfield and Duncan Innes came in second from last with 94 points and a fantastic back 9 score of 51 points.

Over 150 golfers enjoyed the day.
