Coronation Cup winners

32 teams contested the Coronation Cup on a cold and windy day at Horsforth Golf Club. In difficult conditions the Lofthouse Hill team of D Johnson, V Johnson, K Nichols, and C Walker scored an impressive 126 points, 1 point behind the Wakefield team of N Kinghorn, S Hume, C Wheeldon, and K James. However, the teams could not match the early starters from the home club quartet of D Stokes, T Dearden, P Edmundson, and D Coverdale who carded 134 points for Horsforth to win the Coronation Cup for the first time since 2005.
