LEEDS & DISTRICT UNION of GOLF CLUBS

2021 Fixtures update.

With the confirmation yesterday of the Government announcements of the road map out of lockdown and access to our golf courses starting on the 29th February we will not be able to play our Associate Members Team Invitation competition at Darrington on the 25th March as expected.

In addition we will not to play the Coronation Cup Alliance on the 1st April at Howley Hall so close to the opening of the course as the priority is to enable members to play at their own club so soon after reopening. Under the circumstances the events will be postponed until we can establish whether or not we can fix alternative dates in an already busy schedule.

Due to difficult logistical reasons with no hotel accommodation available and catering restrictions in force until the Clubhouse is fully accessible the annual match against the Royal Navy will also have to be re scheduled if possible.

With the first Scratch, Nett and Junior League matches scheduled to start from the 17th/18th May we can prepare to go ahead with matches and invite entry to the Annual KO matches as long as the “follow the science” news remains upbeat.

Stay safe.
