Isaac Smith is the new Yorkshire Boys Champion.
The 2022 Yorkshire Boys Amateur Championship was held at Woodsome Hall Golf Club with very testing, changeable weather during the day but still some excellent golf was produced by the leading players.
Moortown player, Josh Stephens was lying second with a par round of 70 with fellow club teammate Isaac Smith a shot further back on 71, then 8 players with 75 or better after the morning round.
In the afternoon Isaac and Josh played steady golf with Josh Stephens posting a 72 for a 2 over total of 142 but Isaac held his nerve and closed with 70 and a total of 141 to take the victory and become Yorkshire Boys Amateur Champion 2022.
Garforth player and Yorkshire Junior Captain Jake Wallis producing two consistent rounds of 73 & 72 to finish third. Josh Stephens won the Neil Hardman Trophy for best U16 Boys score.
