Christmas Alliance
The Union held its Annual Christmas Alliance event at Scarcroft Golf Club. 22 teams took part; the course was in superb condition and good scoring was the order of the day. The 4 man team event off 9/10ths handicap was won with a fantastic score of 92. The winning team was Ryan Rastall and Ryan Evoy from Howley Hall and Stan Jagger and John Stead from Low Laithes.
The competitors enjoyed a delicious Christmas fayre lunch.
The raffle, auction and Donations on the day raised just over £3000 for the Union's charities. This is a tremendous achievement and President Jack McKee thanked the audience for its generosity.
The Union has raised over £250,000 for its main charity - The Leeds Childrens Charity - over the years. In addition, each year the Union President selects a charity and this year president Jack McKee is supporting the Prince of Wales Hospice in Pontefract.
