LEEDS & DISTRICT UNION of GOLF CLUBS
The Union held its First Division Team Champinship at Horsforth, home club of Union President Simon Lax. On a chilly, late summer day 60 players from 20 clubs competed for two trophies.
The Team Championship was won by the in form Moor Allerton team with an aggregate score of 219 to claim the Nelson Grimshaw Trophy, three ahead of Wakefield in second place who, in turn, were 3 ahead of Cookridge Hall.

Saul Guilford scored a superb 70 to claim the Swithenbank Trophy - first awarded in 1920! Saul was the only player to beat par on the day.
