Championship Trophies

19 year old Tom Broxup of Cookridge Hall became the first Leeds player to hold 4 Championship Trophies at the same time when he won the Leeds Amateur Stroke Play Championship and the John Keightley Trophy at Pontefract and District Golf Club on 20th April 2016.

This complemented his success in 2015 in winning the Leeds Open Championship (The A Rippon-Swaine salver) and the Open Championship Leading Amateur (The Leslie H Bakes salver) held at Low Laithes Golf Club

He also won the Oliver Swithenbank Tropy (presented by the Union's first President in 1921) for recording the lowest individual gross score over 36 holes at the First Division Team Championship also held at Low Laithes Golf Club.
