Garforth Juniors win the LDU Junior Team Championship .

For the second time in a week Woolley Park Golf Club were courteous and enthusiastic hosts and provided a course in excellent condition to be enjoyed by both players and spectators as summer finally shone through.

The Garforth team including Grace Gill, Sam Macintyre and Adam Wilkinson produced an excellent gross points total of 59 to win the team title and qualify to represent Leeds Union in the Yorkshire Inter District Junior Club team championship at Thirsk & Northallerton on the 14th July.

Waterton Park were runners up with 54 points and Moortown 1 third with 51 points.

  Grace Gill (Garforth) won the best Individual Gross points prize beating Oliver Strang (Waterton Park) on the back 9 with 32 points.                     

Woolley Park had three teams representing the club and local knowledge paid off as their Woolley Park 3 team including Evie Sanderson, Matthew Birch and Joe Swallow won the Team Nett prize with a score of 72 points. The runners up prize went to the Woolley Park 1 team with 68 points.

The outstanding performance on the day was from Evie Sanderson (Woolley Park) winning the Best Individual Nett  prize with 46 points
