LEEDS & DISTRICT UNION of GOLF CLUBS

Executive Meeting

The Executive met on 13 November at Normanton, attended by 13 members.

Key points from the the meeting:

The Union Finances are in a healthy state

Two coaching sessions for the Junior Squad had been held at Moor Allerton under James Whitaker's supervision. These had been well received by the boys and there are plans to hold further sessions prior to next season.

Around 100 new Associate Members have joined this year; a pleasing recruitment level.

The Executive voted to retain the current paper handbook for 2014 but it plans to review whether or not all of the content should continue to be in printed form for 2015 and beyond as most of the data is now available on the web site.

Richard Brown from the EGU and Keith Dowswell from the Yorkshire Union have been invited to attend the Council meeting on 26 November to provide updates on England developments and Yorkshire developments.
