The Leeds team drew 18 - 18 with Bradford in a pulsating match played at Cookridge Hall. Accuracy was the order of the day as the rough was penal with a number of players losing balls in the rain affected rough. After torrential rain on the Saturday, The Cookridge ground staff worked wonders the to get the course playable.

Bradford edged ahead in the morning foursomes 7 -5 and seemed to be heading for victory in the afternoon singles before a strong performance from the lower order resulted in a 13 - 11 score for the match to be tied.

Special mention must be made for John Rea who responded with a very late call to replace an injured Leeds player.
