LEEDS & DISTRICT UNION of GOLF CLUBS
The Competition is a Scratch and Nett Stroke Play event over 18 holes
This Competition shall be open to playing members of affiliated Clubs of the Union. Entrants shall be in possession of a competition handicap. The competition shall be limited to 72 entries. In the event of an entry in excess of 72, there shall be a ballot of the higher handicap entrants.
In the event of a tie for the Scratch Championship, a further 3 holes of stroke play shall be played. If the scores are still tied, play shall continue until a hole be won. All other places in the play-off shall be declared joint runners-up. All other ties shall be decided on the basis of Regulation 7.
The Winner of the event returning the lowest score shall be the Stroke Play Champion and shall receive the John Keightley Trophy and a prize. There shall be a prize for runner-up and such other prizes as may be decided by the Executive Committee.
The Winner of the Nett Stroke Play Championship shall be the player returning the lowest nett score and shall receive the John Robshaw Trophy and a prize. There shall be a prize for the runner-up and such other prizes as may be decided by the Executive Committee..
