Coronation Cup-Team Alliance 18th April
On a warm and sunny day at Moor Allerton the LDU Team Alliance was finally played after being postponed on the 5th April following snow and heavy rainfall. The newly installed Captain of Howley Hall, David Jones, got off to a flying start to his year in office by producing his best golf of the year with 22 points to ensure that his team of Stephen Redhead, Ben Hutchinson and Nick Wilson secured a fine victory with a total of 121 points.
Low Laithes finished runners up with 112 points beating Temple Newsam on the back 9 holes and the leading score on the day was an excellent 35 points from Dean Hardy in the Temple Newsam team. Whilst the course was still very wet in places the presentation was excellent and with spirits lifted by the good weather was enjoyed by all involved.
