Hole in One at Associate Members Event.

Temple Newsam members Mick Winters and his son Dave almost gained entry into the Guiness Book of Records when playing the short 3rd Hole at Woolley Park on Thursday in the Associate Members Team Meeting.

After both players had played blind shots to the to the green son Dave was first to the green to see his ball 6 inches from the hole. He went to tap in his putt and to his surprise his fathers ball was in the hole. Had they both holed in one on the same day at the same hole with consecutive shots it would have been a world record. Alas only Mick has the bragging rights but had to pay for the drinks!

The competition was won by a John Priestman, Micheal Priestman, David Knights (Selby) and Mark Hodgkinson (Scarcroft) with 96 points. Runners up were Neil Bailey, Micheal Hudson, DavidLongden and Martin Harrison with 95 Points
