Ken Romaine Salver Junior Finale

Headingley Golf Club hosted  the final of the Junior Individual Matchplay Championship between Moortown members Niall Langley-Brook  and Jeevan Notey.

Also the season ending Junior competition for the Ken Romaine Salver and the presentation of Junior Trophies for 2023. The participants for the salver were the three clubs who finished top in each of the three Divisions of the Junior Leagues 2023 together with the winners of the Junior Club KO competition and  the winners of the Junior Team Strokeplay Championship (Nett and Gross). 

The competition was very keen with the best two individual scores counting and the Cookridge Hall 2 team with Kieran Woodrow 37pts, Alexander Hardy 35 pts and Dougie Hargreaves 34 pts winning with a combined score of 72 pts.

Horsforth were second with 71 pts but Olivia Brodie posted the best individual score of 38 pts on the day.

The Cookridge Hall 2 team received the Ken Romaine Trophy from Past President David Johnston and Honorary Secretary John Grimbleby
