Once again we had a very encouraging entry for the Senior Championship at Scarcroft. The course was in excellent condition and proved a good test for the players.
Waterton Park member Gordon Owen is the Senior Champion 2025 winning the title for the second time in the past five years with an excellent scratch stableford score of 36 points with Wakefield player Steve Mason runner up on 35 points.Leeds G.C. player Roger Rowsby finished 3rd with 34 points.
Gordon was presented with the S.D.Bowyer Trophy. by past President Geoff Mortimer.
The winner of the Nett prize and receiving the A.V.Wright Salver was Sand Moor player Darryl Johnson with a nett stableford score of 40 points with last years winner John Freeman from Howley Hall finishing runner up with 39 points. Mark Flanagan from Leeds Golf Centre was 3rd with 39 nett points.
John Freeman won the Veterans Cup for the second year in a row
