1st Division Team Championship
The Union held the First Division Team Championship at President Bill Watts home club, Howley Hall, on 26 August 2025. Competitors found scoring tough with no one beating par on the day. First out were Horsforth and the team of Simon Hurd, Joel Rushworth and Tom Murray had an aggregate score of 216, 3 over par. This proved too difficult to beat for the other 19 clubs and so Horsforth won the Nelson Grimshaw Trophy by 12 strokes from second placde Waterton Park.
The best individual score of the day was 71, posted by Tom Murray, Bailey Hird (Cookridge Hall) and Joel O'Boyle (Pontefract). Joel won by virtue of a better back six score and so was awarded the coveted Swithenbank Trophy.
